"My work is figurative, I work with a variety of mediums, subject matter and art forms with a preference for oils. Drawing is at the core of everything I do. Paintings can be both figurative and landscape little snapshots of life. Inspiration comes simply by something I see on the bus that morning, a song I like, being a mum or simple things like the joy of making a rag doll. At present I am obsessed with drawing and painting the view of Irvine Harbour from my studio window and this has provided a backdrop for recent oil paintings such as "Harbour View, "Sea Maid " and "Sea Hag"
