The Paisley Art Institute is online for the first time this year. It’s one of my favourite annual exhibitions. They have done an amazing job creating it in a virtual gallery. I have these 2 paintings in it this year, “Blooming” and “Toy Boat”, the link is below.
These are some of the textile dolls and heads I made during the lockdown. The dolls are inspired by old vintage patterns. All the fabrics are very high quality and their faces are hand embroidered. They are all individuals and unique heirlooms.
For decoration only.
The stuffing is 100% wool.
All dolls and more are available in my Etsy shop. 20% off all textile dolls and heads July 18th & 19th please use code MHUGHES4 at the checkout thanks.
I’m delighted to have my painting 2 girls & a boy through to stage 2 for the John Moores painting prize. Fingers crossed, but pleased to get this far.
Little bird animations I’ve been playing about with using coloured pencil drawings
I'm really delighted to have 2 of my paintings included in the Paisley Art Institutes online exhibition this year. "Toy Boat" & "Blooming". This is my favourite exhibition and I always look forward to seeing the annual show. I've been included in the exhibition for at least the past 10 years now and recently was delighted to become an artist member! This year the exhibition is online due to Covid 19, really appreciate all the work involved to put it online! Looking forward to seeing it.
